I’m officially a big fan of smoothies now.
Making smoothies is a great way to juice fruits that are starting to go bad. In my case, I’ve got tons of oranges in my fridge right now (it’s Chinese New Year), but nobody eats them. Some are almost rotten, others just not as fresh and zesty as I’d like them to be.
What better way to use them other than this peachy smoothie?
Here’s how you get a chock-full of Vitamin C in a minute or less:
Ingredients: (Makes 2 to 3 servings)
3 handfuls of strawberries, sliced into halves
2 medium seedless oranges, segmented into half-inch pieces
2 1/2 c low-fat milk
2 tbsp honey
Combine all ingredients in a blender.
Purée until smooth.
Pour into glass to serve.
Enjoy to the very last drop! :)
